International Student Program

Richmond West accepts full-fee paying students from overseas as part of the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development International Program.

To enrol prospective students must first be accepted as students into this program and meet the appropriate visa requirements. Information on entry requirements, study costs and fees, dates of the school year and welfare arrangements can be found at:

The International Student Coordinator has specific responsibility for

  • International Student Welfare
  • Monitoring academic progress and attendance
  • Providing school orientation prior to entry, introducing the new student and their family to the school environment and their teachers

About our School

Richmond West Primary School is located in an inner eastern suburb of Melbourne. It is well serviced by public transport and Melbourne’s freeway network. Our vibrant school values and celebrates diversity. Richmond West has over 200 students coming from 23 different cultural backgrounds. We offer an English Program as well as two highly regarded bilingual programs (Mandarin and Vietnamese), three specialist programs and literacy intervention programs. The school has long standing experience in working with students who are learning English as an Additional Language and has Vietnamese and Chinese speaking staff to support communication with students and families.
